I'm a highly creative and patient guitar instructor who loves imparting the gift of music.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance from Concordia University, a DEC in Classical Guitar studies from Vanier College and have studied the Dalcroze Method and the Alexander Technique. I have also been an ardent student of Mindfulness Meditation for the last 12 years, which has proven to be an extraordinarily helpful tool in music education. I am currently pursuing a graduate degree in Music Therapy at Concordia University.
I've been playing and teaching guitar professionally for 20 years in Toronto, Los Angeles, and Montreal. I’ve toured internationally, supporting musicians such as Feist, Jeff Tweedy (Wilco), Owen Pallett, Timbre Timber and more. I've recorded several albums, scored films and have won numerous awards and grants.
I’ve taught beginners from age 6, high school students getting ready to audition for music programs, advanced musicians and most other kinds of students in between. I've also spent a good deal of time working on music with people in the special-needs community through a program called Keys To The Studio in Toronto.
In addition to guitar, I can work with you on theory/ear training, improvisation, songwriting, recording/production, basic piano skills, and performance techniques.
All ages and skill levels are welcome. Contact me to discuss your goals.
